Frankies — Establishment and food at 177 East Street, Plainville, Connecticut.

Wanted to check out this location. Staff is friendly, menu variety is decent but I only had the hot dogs. Not sure what makes them famous - they were average at best. Any hot dog whose skin doesn't make a nice crisp sound as you bitr into it is already sub -par in my book. The sauerkraut similarly lacked any crispness - it was pure mush and watery and made the buns soggy and the whole a sloppy mess to eat. Half the kraut from one of the two dogs I eat fell off onto the floor ( and I'm a very experienced hot dog eater who knows how to avoid this with normal crispy kraut.) I am intrigued enough to come back and try the burgers and hope they're better. We'll see.
